  Is a PRINGLES can.

Probe:
  Is 1.22 inchs of #10 or #12 copper wire soldered
  to an N-type chassie connector. (1 and 7/32 inchs).

  Is located 2 and 1/16 inchs from the back of the can.


Notes:

Use a balanced feed.

This antenna is tuned to be a general purpose antenna.  More gain
can be had in other probe placements at the cost of front-to-back ratio and
more F/B ratio can be had at the cost of gain.  This antenna disagrees with
the other designs in placement and length of the probe.  Those designs
were also modeled.  In particular the design which is commonly linked
on the web (3 and 3/8 inch probe placement) was modeled and exhibited a
much higher SWR and 3 dB higher gain with this model.  The model could be
faulty.
