Plane reflector: Is round. Is 1 and 5/8 inchs behind the dipole. Is 11 inchs in diameter. ************************************************************ ** You will notice this is twice the diameter of a CD ROM ** ** and very nearly equal to two (2) wavelengths. ** ** ** ** Actual testing seems to bear out the idea that you can ** ** use an old CD disk for this purpose by just placing it ** ** the specified distance behind one of the dipoles on an ** ** access point. Centered (of course) on the dipole. ** ************************************************************ May be constructed of wire mesh. Dipole: Is centered on the plane reflector. Is parallel to the plane reflector. Is vertical with respect to earth. Is 1 and 5/8 inchs above (in front of) the plane reflector. Each element on the dipole is 1 and 7/32 inchs long #12 wire. Overall width is 2 and 7/16 inchs. Notes: Use a balanced feed. When using wire mesh at these frequencies use mesh that is a minimum of 1/2 inch mesh. I strongly recommend 1/4 or 1/8 inch mesh. I am sorry I have not modeled the CD ROM disk. Perhaps someone else will do that or maybe later given time .... -m-
